This new building north of the Portmore Mall in St. Catherine will be used to house the Portmore branch operations of Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB). The investment firm said it has outgrown its space in the Portmore Mall and decided to construct the facility to provide more comfort for its growing clientele.

This life-sized sculpture, which adorns the entrance to the newly-opened Emancipation Park in New Kingston, is bound to generate much debate. The entwined couple is caught in the blaze of lights which accompanied the official opening of the Park on Wednesday, July 31.



'Redemption Song' the statue that will replace the one currently on loan to the park.



Norman Grinley, guest photographer for the Mandeville Exposed photo supplement, captured this scene last Saturday along the Winston Jones Highway just outside Mandeville, Manchester. He was among a group of 50 photographers taking pictures for a special supplement which will be published with the Gleaner on Tuesday, November 13. The supplement will be distributed to business places in Mandeville.
