Jeanne Patricia Ebanks has created an interesting masterpiece that brings the art of reading to a new level.
READING MADE EASY is an undertaking of great potential value as it introduces a mathematical formula to the alphabet that will compel teachers and guides to ask the question: “Where has this book been all my life?” Its purpose is to familiarize beginners with the most frequently used words in the English language and introduces these words in the context of what appears to be the best development approach, what I now call the 4,4,6,6,4,2 method. It incorporates alliteration, rhyme and repetition. It is an honour and a pleasure to provide this foreword and recommend this book.
READING MADE EASY is not just for beginners. It is also an excellent book for readers who wish to re-introduce themselves to the mechanics of the English language. The placement and choice of words in this book will speak to your inner core. It is not simply words on a page but a rhythm carefully created to bring about meaningful progress where reading is concerned.
The point of READING MADE EASY is to get the reader on the track to recognising word construction and its relation to the 4,4,6,6,4,2 layout of the alphabet as it applies to everyday use. Mr. George W. Abrahams, a man whom I consider to be the most memorable educator in my life, would drill in my head "The reason why is always that never because…."
I would like to think that had I been given access to READING MADE EASY at that time, Mr. Abrahams would not have needed to repeatedly point out my mistakes as often, as I would have mastered the art of repetition years ago.
